Safety Notes

 

Satefty is of paramount importance and the organisers demand that all aspects of safety are upheld and riders observe instructions by marshalls.

It is the riders responsibility to ensure that the cycle is in a SAFE and ROADWAORTHY CONDITION including BRAKES AND TYRES etc.

 

 

The following points are recommendations by the organisers:

 

  1. SAFETY HELMETS
  2. SAFE RIDING MANNER i.e. Safe overtaking, single file when required.
  3. CONSIDERATION FOR OTHER PARTICIPANTS AND MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC
  4. OBSERVE MARSHALL INSTRUCTIONS AT ALL TIMES
  5. THINK AND ACT IN A SAFE MANNER AT ALL TIMES
  6. IT IS THE INDIVIDUALS OR PARENTS/GUARDIANS RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT THEY ( AND THEIR CHILDREN ) CONDUCT THEMSELVES IN A SAFE AND SENSIBLE MANNER AT ALL TIMES
  7. IT IS EACH RIDERS OR PARENTS/GUARDIANS RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THEY OR THEIR CHILDREN ARE SUITABLY FIT AND HEALTHY TO TAKE PART IN THE RIDES
  8. ON THE 50K RIDE YOU MUST DISMOUNT TO CROSS BUSY ROADS WHEN SIGNS ON STEWARDS INDICATE IT NECESSARY
  9. MAKE ALLOWANCES FOR THE WEATHER CONDITIONS AND ITS INFLUENCE ON THE COURSES - BE PREPARED TO DISMOUNT AND WALK IF NECESSARY.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES CAN THE ORGANISERS BE HELD RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY ACCIDENT,INJURY, LOSS OR DAMAGE SUSTAINED DURING THE EVENT.
